Nice apartment, pests issues.
Former Tenant
Pros:
Large apartments. Close to parks, pretty good heat in winter.
Cons:
Pests! No matter what you do there are so many bugs! The super is a nice guy but doesn’t speak any English(Inwood), so I can’t communicate with him.
Advice to owner:
More regular pest control. They should knock on everyone’s door instead of a sign up.

Solid apartment
Former Tenant
Pros:
No stairs going into building. Great for strollers. Super is amazing. Building is quiet and good neighbors.
Cons:
Biggest complaint is washer dryer. Waited for years to get it and then once they are working they charge prices way to high for laundry.
Advice to owner:
Lower prices on washer and dryer.

Not terrible but not amazing
Former Tenant
Pros:
We just got a new super who is way better and more present than the other. Very close to the subway. In between two parks. Farmers market nearby on Saturdays.
Cons:
Inside common areas are dusty and dirty. Specifically the laundry room, which I don’t use because of this. You can’t hear other’s conversations, but you can hear every step above your apartment and next to your apartment. Exterminator around monthly, but not at a convenient time.
Advice to owner:
Clean up the laundry room and stairwells more frequently.

Satisfied enough to stay awhile
Former Tenant
Pros:
Great, very helpful and responsive super. Nice pre-war details. and attractive lobby. Parquet wood floors. Plenty of heat in winter. Location between two beautiful parks and close to Hudson River. Dog friendly.
Cons:
Bit of a rodent problem. Cheap about upgrading things like kitchen tile, cabinets, but doesn't hesitate to do a gut renovation after a tenant moves out. Worst IMO, it's been around two years since the common laundry room was closed due to code violations and it still hasn't been fixed.
Advice to owner:
Please, please, please get the laundry room operable again, and give us a laundry room like your building next door , 1789.
