Great old building

Pros:
Well maintained, spacious, rent stabilized.
Cons:
Some neighbors are a little loud depending on the floor. Also, even though maintenance tends to be on top of everything, he’s kind of slow responding to requests.

What you’d expect for the price

Pros:
Large and spacious apartments with good natural light (depending on unit). Laundry in basement. Elevator. Live in super. Flexible landlords when it comes to doing DIYs, as long as you ask for permission first.
Cons:
Roach problem (we had to hire our own exterminators to fix it once and for all). Things tend to break in the building, like the elevator, front door latch, and we had a major leak.

Has laundry, very close to subway, very close to Fort Tryon Park and lots of restaurants. Spacious apartment. New kitchen appliances
Cons:
Has not been updated, kitchen cabinets and countertops are old. Old building, potential for pests
