Very Good Building
Former Tenant
Pros:
I find the landlord to be very responsive when you reach out. We are next to a precinct so it is very quiet and the street is blocked off as well. The neighbors are very nice and friendly. The building is fairly maintained. I only recently after many years living there saw a few bugs in my kitchen (not even that many really), probably my fault somehow, and landlord was responsive to quickly get someone to come. No rodents ever in building, though the buildings in the area have horrible rodent issues. Close to subway station. You pay your own heat and electric, so you have more control over the temperature. I consider this my "forever home"! Pretty quiet building.
Cons:
No washer/dryer in building, and it's a walk up--but helps also keep costs down so I don't know that I would change that! The rats on the street between subway and are building are pretty bad though (but they are NOT inside the building or even immediately outside on the street thankfully, just around the corner). Maybe renovations could be more frequent, but that could be on the tenants for not asking; not clear that he would have interest in making renovations. Building is not accessible (common in this area). Windows slip a lot, so can impact street noise and temperature control.
Advice to owner:
Thank you for being so helpful. I love living here!
