They take advantage of tenants…
Former Tenant
Pros:
The view from the roof is unbeatable. Having an elevator is fantastic - it’s a tall building.
Cons:
Cleanliness is below par. The walls on the 9th floor are all old plywood. It’s falling apart. Cockroaches appear out of nowhere. The lights don’t work. Heating is not sufficient. Water leaks in through the windows during rain. 9th floor is a studio apartment divided into 4 rooms, and the landlord rents it out to strangers. Only one room has access to fire escape. Once, a balcony door of one of the rooms came off and almost fell 9 stories down. Very unsafe. Does not feel safe at all, as the key to the apartment seem to be with everyone. The landlord is sketchy… raises rent illegally high. Went from 700 to 1400 within 2 months. And gave less than a months notice for tenants to leave. And did not return the deposit!
