Be advised - bad management
Former Tenant
Pros:
- lighting - layout - old charm
Cons:
- pests (rats in walls and ceilings. Pest control that comes is absolutely awful) - trash is never cleaned up and constantly overflows - loud
Advice to owner:
Do better

Best apartment for 12 years running
Former Tenant
Pros:
I love the plant and crystal shops on both sides of the entrance: excellent vibes and neighbors. Landlady is exceptional: responsive and lovely, fair. Classic features in the units like hardwood floors and porcelain claw foot tubs. High ceilings. Southern exposure. Location is best in city, in my opinion. Neighbors are nice. Noise level reasonable for East Village.
Cons:
Heat too high in winter: have to leave windows open most of the winter Water pressure in shower is mediocre Entry vestibule is awkward, while trying to carry packages especially
