The Management Company is Awful
Former Tenant
Pros:
It is in a great location, the apartment layout is nice, the neighborhood is safe, and there is a nice view from the front facing windows
Cons:
It gets way too hot, there was no gas for seven months, the management company is unresponsive, there are mice, the cabinet space is poor, there is a step up into the bathroom, the water temperature is uncontrolled so it is very difficult to take an enjoyable shower, there are problems with the pipes in the building so most tenants experience the need for ceiling repairs (ceiling fell in on me while I was showering) and you cannot buzz downstairs as the system is broken
Advice to owner:
Fix the buzzer, fix the water, treat your tenants like housing is a right, be more responsive, clean the hallways

Cockroaches, broken heater, broken hot water, only window opens to trash
Former Tenant
Pros:
Quiet, sometimes. No other pros
Cons:
Had to deal with multiple flying cockroaches that came in from holes in apartment. Only window in apartment opens to trash alley, which is likely why there are so many pests. Heater broken, would be unbearably hot in spring and fall. Tenants had to organize with flyers in order to get unresponsive landlord to act. Hot water broken, shower would go from extremely hot to freezing cold in a second. Landlords were unresponsive and unhelpful when seeking aid during pandemic. Buzzer broken.
Advice to owner:
Respond to tenants, fix your old and falling apart buildings.
