Don't keep up with their tickets
Former Tenant
Pros:
The heat always comes on and it comes on really hot
Cons:
Where do I start okay let's start with the tickets this building has an issue with tickets every time you create one they cancel them themselves without fulfilling the ticket on top of that there's word that there is a PVC pipe in a gas line of the g apartments and there's constant leaks including the bathroom another problem they're having is toilet flushing for some reason everybody's toilets have an issue flushing and it tends to overflow The front door is constantly broken The locks are never repaired properly and it has no security regardless of having cameras there is no one to check who's coming in and out and at one point I slipped on human fecal matter and people constantly pee in the elevator they still have asbestos ceilings and there is heat but they do not monitor the heat and intervals so when it's really cold sometimes they do not have the heat on and when you call for the heat the landlord does it is cheap as possible so there's no monitoring or comfortable intervals of heat your apartment is either brick cold or steaming piping hot it's ridiculous oh I forgot to add sometimes homeless drug addicts go inside the staircase because the lock is not properly installed or ever properly working everyone could just walk into the building so there is also pop urine and drug addicts inside the staircase
Advice to owner:
Fix your pipelines to create a better environment Make sure tickets are being done properly some people cannot use the My Nycha app because they are old and do not know how to Make sure you have some form of security or watch the cameras to penalize individuals who urinate in the elevator I think it would be cheaper to get a security guard to stop this from happening including people doing drugs in the staircase as well as urinating in the staircase this will prevent any further lawsuits that can possibly happen and eventually will if this continues Make sure apartments are up to date and all piping is properly installed as well as all sewage completely running fluidly start doing this and a change for the better will occur
