perfectly adequate place
Former Tenant
Pros:
Quiet, residential neighborhood. Often can get electricity and/or gas included in rent.
Cons:
Building is pre-war and quite old. Layouts are not conventional and sometimes quite odd.

If you like neighbors who harass you and vermin
Former Tenant
Pros:
Apartments are really spacious
Cons:
Management is corrupt and abusive. So are the owners. Some of the people that live here are certified psychotic and allowed to get away with literal murder because of rent control. They let one girl shoot up in empty apartments and run a prostitution ring from her apartment bc she paid her rent on time. That was fun. If you need to question their morals- google the owners… Stahl and Hirschfeld, the partners who tried to kill each other via hitman. I thought things would be different since that was decades ago. Boy was I wrong.
Advice to owner:
Stop taking bribes. Stop allowing neighbors to harass tenants using racial slurs and violence. Stop hiding behind your army of lawyers. The buildings you manage and own are architectural gems and they and the people in them deserve better

Landlord and management company are horrendous
Former Tenant
Pros:
Decent pre-war building, Mostly nice doormen, Quieter location of city.
Cons:
Rare / none response from maintenance and management of building. If you have any issues, plan on living with them.
Advice to owner:
Time for an overhaul in terms of your staff. This pertains to all aspects of the building management company.
