Pros:
Building is in a nice neighborhood.
Cons:
Landlord is horrible. Heat comes on when they decide to put it on. Apartments are cold. Building takes long to respond to issues and/or doesn’t respond at all. Superintendents are useless. Landlord does not keep up with necessary upkeep of apartments and building.
Advice to owner:
Treat the apartment building as if someone in your family lived in it. Treat your tenants better than you do. Paint the hallways. Keep up with necessary upkeep of individual apartments. Stop putting the heat on when you please. Especially in the winter. It’s cold outside. Tenants should have heat on throughout the day, even if it’s on low. Instead there is no heat at all except for every 4-5 hours for 30-40 minutes.
