Little tenants in your apartment who don't pay rent
Former Tenant
Pros:
Beautiful old building on a quiet little street. On Sunday mornings, a jazz band would play outside Starbucks and you could hear it from the apartment, it was lovely. Location is convenient. The apartment has charm and was well-priced.
Cons:
MICE. SO MANY MICE. I was a little traumatized. We only lasted 6 months. Managment kept sending the super and other maintenance works to look for the entry and such, but they could never figure it out and ultimately we think the floors were just in too bad of a condition to stop the mice coming in. They were unfortunately not limited to the kitchen and would be heard under our beds at night. Ultimately, they let us out of the lease. There were also always rats in the trash cans, which as frightening. The restaurant below was always loud, which I didn't mind so much but others might. There were also more rats on this street than any of the other 5 apartments I have had in NYC.
