Unresponsive Landlord and too much variety between units
Former Tenant
Pros:
Great location, great lighting
Cons:
You will never hear from the landlord unless it's your yearly lease notice. The building manager/maintenance also only responds when he chooses and does the MOST bandaid fixes- for example the stairs are always falling a part. There is a huge variety in quality between units. No security cameras and management refuses to install any despite lots of requests from tenants. One time I had a couple view my apartment without notice but I renewed my lease and gave no indication of moving out and management left me on read when I asked about it. There are zero amenities here and they raise the rent way too much each year.
Advice to owner:
Try living under your own management

Terrible management/way too expensive
Former Tenant
Pros:
Nice neighbors who are very communicative. Good neighborhood around but that’s about it
Cons:
Terrible management, quality of building is not good, stairs falling apart hazardous even going up and down. Trying to charge 2500+ for tiny 1 br with zero amenities, rent getting raised significantly every year. And on top of that a building is about to be demolished directly across the street, so it will be very loud and disruptive. Do not recommend living here at all.
Advice to owner:
Charge the price this building is actually worth, it’s robbery at this point

Felt like home but had a few minor repair issues
Former Tenant
Pros:
Overall pretty quiet building. Just around the corner from laundromat, my unit had a lot of light. Management came if there was an issue. Neighbors were friendly. Only saw 1 cockroach in my time there. Felt safe and happy there.
Cons:
Door knob repeatedly fell off and had to be fixed. Coat closet rung not built properly and also broke. Bathtub paint peeled. Had to be careful with windows (top part would slide down). Radiator was extremely loud and could not sleep through, but I had them change air valve and that fixed it.
