Stereotypically bad management
Former Tenant
Pros:
The onsite building employees are kind and attentive. The location next to Carl Shurz park is great. Fellow tenants are kind and respectful.
Cons:
This is the most I’ve ever paid for an apartment, and it is somehow the worst place I’ve ever lived. From roaches to constant hot water issues to many, many more (truly, if you can think of it, it’s probably an issue here) — this building will keep you on your toes in the worst way. It also seems like they raise rent $200-300 or more every year (at minimum) so folks are constantly moving in and out. They are greedy, and it’s shooting them in the foot because the units are getting absolutely wrecked from it. If you have any other option, then I’d recommend avoiding, because I am really holding back here.
Advice to owner:
They are aware of what they’re doing
