Nonstop Construction and Steep Rent Hikes
Former Tenant
Pros:
Great neighbors. Helpful doormen.
Cons:
Construction has gone on for the last three years, resulting in a cockroach problem on our floor. Steep rent hikes from corporate management leaving no room to negotiate.

Abysmal Laundry Room & Constant Construction Noise
Former Tenant
Pros:
- Apartment is great - bedrooms are incredibly spacious -Noise control is great for a NYC apartment (both between apartments and typical street noise noise) -In House Maintenance Team is great and incredibly responsive for in house maintenance
Cons:
- The building should not even be allowed to say it has a laundry room. The maintenance is outsourced and on any given day most machines are broken. Even when they are "fixed" it is clear they are still broken. Owner has not responded to any feedback. When paying $6k a month on rent for a building with laundry you'd expect some working washing machines. If in-building laundry is important to you I would encourage you to look elsewhere. -There has been constant construction just outside the building for years. Jackhammers all day long. Definitely would reconsider if you plan on working from home or even being home during the week as the noise can be absolutely unbearable -Heat is inconsistent during spring and fall. It will be off on a cool day, then on on a warm day then off again on a cool day. Its like the heat lags the weather by a few days and is never really consistent with the weather of the day
Advice to owner:
Fix the laundry room. Stop trying to repair old machines that clearly just need replacing and invest in some quality machines. Find a new laundry maintenance company because the one you have is scamming you and fixing nothing.
