Crazy Neighbors and Roof Leaks
Former Tenant
Pros:
It’s cheap and a decently renovated unit.
Cons:
The roof began leaking and I had severe water damage. Floor tiles were broken. There were constant bugs (bees, wasps, etc) inside the apartment. The woman downstairs from me constantly called 311 claiming I was making noise when I wasn’t even home or when I was sleeping.
Advice to owner:
Maintain your building.

Surprisingly nice but cozy
Former Tenant
Pros:
Quiet, responsive super, reasonable rent, good heat and hot water. Close to transit and groceries. Good neighbors.
Cons:
Over reactive smoke detectors that can go off for long periods. Sometimes entrance smells weird. Mail can be tricky to receive especially packages.
Advice to owner:
Fix the buzzer.

Decent Price but at what cost
Former Tenant
Pros:
Spacious apartment, mostly chill neighbors, some new renovations
Cons:
Loud music in opposing building, street is constantly covered in trash, the super doesn’t fix most things thoroughly, upstairs neighbors flooded their apartment. People smoke in hallways.
Advice to owner:
Get a reliable super and respond quickly

Just don’t
Former Tenant
Pros:
I could not find any .
Cons:
The neighborhood just terrible, people are selling drugs on both corners of the street, loud music from outside almost 24/7. Rent is overpriced with such a poor management. Always trash situation by the building and super wasn’t able to fix anything.
It was a terrible year living there .
Advice to owner:
Do it right.

Generally good so far
Former Tenant
Pros:
Garbage has actual cans that are emptied regularly. My unit is nicely renovated. Neighbors are mostly friendly. Good water pressure. Heat works decently well. Pay rent online. Repairs happen within a couple days. No issues with pests.
Cons:
Front door lock and buzzer are flaky. Heat pipes noisy sometimes, though they did improve it. Super is tricky to get in touch with, so just schedule repairs over email instead. Windows are a bit funky. Lots of street noise, if that bothers you.
Advice to owner:
Fix the front door.
