Upper West Side Gem
Former Tenant
Pros:
Most beautiful and spacious apartments
Cons:
Expensive, automatic doors challenging if sabbath observant
Advice to owner:
Set automatic doors to manual on Saturdays for the many tenants who observe the Jewish sabbath.

Nice building, loved living here, got too expensive for me.
Former Tenant
Pros:
Only 2 apartments per floor (in towers) meant few neighbors. Good sound insulation between floors. 2 elevators on each side. Nice staff. Garage in building.
Cons:
Heat was too hot. Needed to open windows in the winter. Many staff, so more xmas bonus $ needed.

Nice, clean and organized but the property manager can be uncooperative
Former Tenant
Pros:
- The building itself is very nice and organized.
- The building staff are incredible and truly care for you.
Cons:
- Dealing with the property manager is highly frustrating as they are oftentimes unresponsive.
- Had to call them after two emails to get a tenant recommendation letter.
- They did not respond at all to my email about renewing the lease.
- They raised my rent if I wanted to renew, in the middle of a pandemic.
- First day I moved in I didn’t have a bathroom sink, as they were renovating
- They had to make repairs to the pipes and had to do it in my apartment living room. I understand this was an emergency, however they were cutting pipes (which triggered my asthma) in the middle of my living room from 7am till 8pm, so I couldn’t use my apartment. I had to stay over to a friend’s place. What’s worse is they were completely uncooperative when it comes to giving me an estimated end date/ time. I had to call the management company headquarters to get their attention and make them promise they will be done by the same day. They still had to fix the wall the next day, but it was nothing compared to cutting pipes with power tools.
- Hit was out twice for the entire night. Water was out on multiple occasions (at least 4-5).
- They sent me my deposit back after multiple follow up emails and calls 2 months and 10 days later.
Advice to owner:
Put yourself in the shoes of your tenants from time to time.
