Move Disney Word
Former Tenant
Pros:
Area is nice
Cons:
Mice everywhere, thin windows, pigeons in the back alley every morning waking you by SMACKING the windows. I had someone come weekly about mice. Once left for 2 weeks and came back to my entire food stash taken and strewn across my place. The kitchen sink I once turned on and faucet popped off and legit hit me in the face. Do NOT move here .
Advice to owner:
Fix the mice problem, take the gross trash OUTSIDE, do better.

Overwhelming location, underwhelming management
Former Tenant
Pros:
Prime location, private outdoor space, W/D in unit (not true for all units)
Cons:
Terrible management, outdated plumbing, unreliable neighbors (packages go missing frequently)
Advice to owner:
We have advised management multiple times that we would like to add a camera in the lobby to deter package theft; Second entry door needs a lock; we haven’t had a working stove fan in over a year (despite multiple work requests) ; heat and hot water are a consistent issue in the winter.

Owner has been sued by the supreme court
Former Tenant
Pros:
Very close to trains, cute semi-updated apartments, quiet street on the front side, generally accessible to a lot
Cons:
The owner has a well documented history of pushing out rent-stabilized tenants through illegal means and is overall unresponsive except when he or his lackies are being vile. Bugs, trash, no super available, the front door constantly locks out and in tenants, constant loss of heat and electricity. Discrimination against non-English-speaking tenants and old appliances.
Advice to owner:
Try to develop the bare minimum amount of empathy to participate in the community that is the LES

Can’t Have It All
Former Tenant
Pros:
LOCATION!! and for its location it’s pretty quiet... washer dryer was always reliable, one of our two bedrooms had amazing light, large deep sink, feel safe walking into building (as a woman too) , was kind about the move out date amidst covid
Cons:
Lizmar was COMPLETELY unreliable. Nothing EVER got fixed until i put my diva shoes on and demanded “special” treatment...as if having a working shower was a luxury... zero kitchen space, and also horrible lighting. zero natural light in living space. loads of stinky pigeons in back room
Advice to owner:
Listen, AMAZING location, great “bones” but don’t expect much... just live there, be simple and clean you’ll be happy... the more independent you are the better! don’t expect things to be taken care of in a jiffy for you
