Do not live here
Former Tenant
Pros:
Good location, decent size
Cons:
Landlords are the worst people ever. They won’t spend a dime fixing anything even if they’re breaking the law (i.e. not fixing the mouse/rat problem we had). They are also rude and demeaning and will scream at you if you report any issue with the apartment. We didn’t have a locking front door for about 5 months which was not safe, when they finally got someone to fix it they made me deal with the lock smith with no notice on behalf of the entire building to the point where I had to push out dinner plans to help the landlords do their job. All apartments in the building have had mice. They also don’t give you a proper place to dispose of trash and I was fined $75 for that along with 2 other tenants. I have added photos of the gaping holes an exterminators reported they need to fix in order for the apartment to be “habitable” they refused to use a legit exterminator to fix the problem and instead sent a man who doesn’t speak English to put duct tape over the mouse/rat holes (which they can chew through easily). DO NOT LIVE HERE
Advice to owner:
Sell it to someone who can handle being a landlord

Former Tenant
Pros:
The neighborhood, being only one floor up, and outdoor space.
Cons:
Don't be fooled by this seemingly perfect listing. We had mice, no heat, rats on the terrace made it unusable, washer/dryer broke frequently, mailbox key was broken for months with no resolution, the front door to the building's lock breaks all the time (so either you get locked out or they tape it up allowing random people to enter..), a giant metal bin blocks the front door, and not to mention if you work from home the bottom floor is a religious organization that burns very strong smelling things and bangs/sings very loud all day. The ashes cover the terrace (can't use it when they're burning stuff and the ash stained our outdoor furniture). Anything we flagged to the landlords was met with resistance and disrespect, yelling, and ignorance. The exterminator said the mice infestation was due to GAPING holes in the kitchen behind the appliances, which the landlords refused to pay for and threatened to evict us if we reported them. The neighborhood is amazing but the apartment quickly became a nightmare. If you live here, at LEAST negotiate the rent down. The current asking rent is obscene all things considered.
Advice to owner:
Sell the building to someone who will actually take care of the property and the tenants.
