Proceed with caution
Former Tenant
Pros:
Doorman are wonderful, nice rooftop, mostly updated units
Cons:
Management lied about the layout of the apartment prior to moving in. Sent me a video of one unit saying it would the one I’d have and the one I actually had was much worse.
Advice to owner:
Be truthful

Ridiculous rent increases
Former Tenant
Pros:
Nice door men
Cons:
Equity residential is not interested in keeping tenants, they would rather let apartments go empty to raise rents by greater than $300-1000 per month every year. They get people in with reasonable rate and then raise rents very high the next year. Building is ok, terrible windows let in noise and apartments are cold in winter.

Do not live here if you have self respect!
Former Tenant
Pros:
The only thing my wife and I like about the building is our apartment. Everything outside of the apartment, the management, the public spaces, the elevators, the heating / cooling, the water is terrible.
Cons:
The management is rude and unresponsive. The elevators are constantly breaking down, the heating and cooling is tepid, the water tower was replaced over a month ago and the water still tastes awful.
Advice to owner:
The property owner needs to clean house and replace every member of the management staff both local and regional. There needs to be an overhaul of practices particularly around treatment of tenants.
