Responsive management, clean, nice, community, but getting .
Former Tenant
Pros:
I loved the view from my bedroom over the water, and all of our bedrooms had very nice windows. It was extremely easy to schedule maintenance and elevators always worked. Everything but AC was included in utilities, which is so nice, and even then AC was a flat rate. I had no issues with packages being stolen, and security was very nice and helpful. Stuytown has a sweet street market twice a year and offers many community events where you collect in the little park to watch movies and stuff which is really nice. It is always so clean and I never saw a roach or rat in my three years.
Cons:
A bit of a walk from the L train, but not bad and such a safe area to walk through once you get off the train. We did get ants when we left food out this past summer, but I think all of New York did. The Stuytown gym is super expensive. Also, the prices did go up in the apartments around mine, although rent is stabilized which is super nice.
Advice to owner:
Stop raising the rent and have a lottery again. It is sad and frustrating to watch the community change and become inaccessible.

Great community but thin walls
Former Tenant
Pros:
- Nice community set up not available in other areas of Manhattan - has parks, play grounds and a cafe within community
Cons:
- thin walls - few grumpy old people who get offended by slightest of noise - very corporate in dealing with rental issues and pricing

Great place to live
Former Tenant
Pros:
Well maintained, haven’t had any bug issues ever, extremely well insulated so you never hear any neighbors except sometimes upstairs but never bad.
Cons:
Gets hot with the heat in winter, and we did have a problem with a leak in our bathroom that they took a long time to fix.

Stuytown Life was Good
Former Tenant
Pros:
Living in stuytown was a breeze, if you insert $1 bills, it'll give you $10 in laundry credit
Cons:
There isn't too much contact with management - sometimes would take days for things to get fixed, laundry sometime had a wait

Well managed place!
Former Tenant
Pros:
Managed by Stuytown, and they are really good "landlords". The whole community is very safe and walkable and have multiple events throughout the year.
Cons:
- Right next to Con Edison plant - Living room is always dark (so we had to add artificial lights)
Advice to owner:
More artificial light installments in the building :)
