Stuytown apartment review
Former Tenant
Pros:
-clean friendly community
Cons:
-far from subway
Nice place to live, some negatives
Former Tenant
Pros:
Lots of families, felt safe
Higher floors got lots of sun
Pretty quiet (depending on who your neighbors are)
Cons:
Water would sometimes run brown randomly without notice
Maintenance/inspection people would sometimes enter our apartment without notice or consent when we were not home (knew because we saw them on our pet camera)
Sometime packages would get lost or delivered to wrong building because delivery people couldn’t navigate Stuytown with all buildings looking the same
Advice to owner:
Don’t enter people apartments without letting them know or getting their consent first

Cons:
Ants, package delivery system isn’t great,
Over 1 year ago
Great first apartment
Former Tenant
Pros:
Stuytown management is very responsive to all our problems
Cons:
Found a couple cockroaches but that is typical of living in the city
Over 2 years ago
Generally nice building, annoying neighbors
Former Tenant
Pros:
Clean, the entryway is always organized, management and repairs are very responsive.
Cons:
Very controlling (this is Stuytown overall), had some noise complaints even though we definitely were not noisy and had an inspection to check the level of carpeting in our apartment. I assume these complaints came from neighbors.

Reliable place to live
Former Tenant
Pros:
Well maintained, maintenance was very responsive to any issues. Never any issues with hot water or heat.
Cons:
It’s pretty far from subway stations.
Advice to owner:
Negotiate better on rents!
Decent place to live.
Former Tenant
Pros:
Fairly quiet, no water/heat issues. Clean, laundry room access, no package theft.
Cons:
One crazy neighbor, Stuytown decided to move one neighbor that he had an issue with rather than moving him. He's been arrested and hospitalized multiple times because of issues but they've done nothing to curb him or apologize to us.
Advice to owner:
Prioritize your long time renters that are great rather than rewarding the difficult ones.
