Tiny apartment, bad management
Former Tenant
Pros:
The price wasn’t high and was pretty inexpensive for the area, but it is a walk up building.
Cons:
Walk up with dirty stairwells that are always very hot and have dead roaches on them that management doesn’t clean. Speaking of management, one time there was a strong smell of gas in the apartment and building so I tried to call the super and let him know what was going on and that I was planning on calling the fire department. He gave me attitude and tried to threaten me into not calling the fire department because he wasn’t there and couldn’t be in the building for another 45 minutes and wanted me to wait to see if it was actually a problem or if I was making it up. I called the fire department and the owner and super both tried to harass me for it—but it turns out it was a good thing I called because otherwise the entire building could’ve very easily exploded (according to the responding fire chief on the scene). Sigh.
Advice to owner:
Don’t harass tenants that are trying to avoid you getting a lawsuit for not keeping your building up to code.
