Pros:
Convenience. All the trains meet right at Canal so you never have to walk too far. The rooftop view is nice (albeit you have to walk up all 7 flights of stairs)
Cons:
The building is outdated and visibly dirty. Our front door lock was broken when we moved in. There were hardly any outlets inside the apartment and I had to use electrical strips in every room to accommodate. (Probably a fire hazard?) I can’t count on one hand the amount of times they turned the water off for maintenance without warning. There’d be no water for hours. We begged them to let us know in advance, but the problem persisted. We also had a pest problem (mice and cockroaches) which was never addressed. Maintenance doesn’t respond.
Advice to owner:
I encourage you to be communicative with your tenants.
