Decent Building, Fabulous Super
Former Tenant
Pros:
The Super (Mike) is incredible, knows everyone in the building and always says Hi. One of the biggest pros. Outdoor space is nice, as well as a small but functional gym. It has a surprising amount of space for East Village, and maintenance is pretty responsive.
Cons:
The brokers working for the building are not great, and try to get into people’s apartment to show them even when yours isn’t up for rent. They keep the heat very high from late fall through spring so it gets very warm as the weather turns (and honestly even in the dead of winter). There is laundry in the building which is great, but the price is frankly ridiculous and you have to get cash to do it.

Primarily College Housing
Former Tenant
Pros:
Great location for a great price
Cons:
Primarily college students and interns there in the summer, results in loud neighbors
Advice to owner:
Bring the heat down

Nice first apartment
Former Tenant
Pros:
love the super and the location. nice building
Cons:
Only real complaint were the occasionally bad disposal methods and the emails from management. Otherwise nice

Solid building. Not too many complaints
Former Tenant
Pros:
Very helpful and responsive super. Elevator and intercoms in apartments are great.
Cons:
The heat is ALWAYS going when it isn't summer and makes the apartment super warm. Have to sleep with the A/C on every night. People aren't respectful with their trash and completely overfill the bins. Also, packages get left outside the mailroom in the lobby very often. The laundry isn't the best - barely fits a full load and if you do have a full load, you need to split into two dryers or else it will take forever for your clothes to dry.
Advice to owner:
Go easy on the heat. I'm sweating in my apartment.

Cons:

Solid Apt in East Village
Former Tenant
Pros:
I like the walkability to Tompkins Park and East River walking path, dog friendly, all the people in the building are friendly, very quiet/thick walls, Mike the super is really great, overall no issues.
Cons:
A little far from the subway and electric heat could make it a little too hot in winter.

College dorm like
Former Tenant
Pros:
The super Mike is great, does a good job with the upkeep. Good area if you walk a block over, lots to do in the area, apartment would stay warm and a nice patio area
Cons:
Management company has been a horror show, packages stolen before a mailroom was put in, laundry room was terrible and “gym” was subpar

I like living here a lot
Former Tenant
Pros:
Clean building, great super, dog friendly, back patio
Cons:
Not a con — but it’s It’s definitely a youthful spot so wouldn’t necessarily be a great spot for families or young kids.

Cons:
Kinda a party scene, packages constantly stolen

Small, nice super, greedy landlords
Former Tenant
Pros:
Dishwasher, Nice super, generally well kept (all super’s work). The area is good.
Cons:
Terrible management. Tried to raise rent exorbitantly during pandemic. My bedroom was definitely created through an illegal wall. Space was tiny.
Advice to owner:
Don’t raise rent during a pandemic and stop charging premium for tiny apartments.
