Great location and overall lovely building
Former Tenant
Pros:
Lobby is newly renovated
Our kitchen is renovated and bathroom is pretty
Beautiful pre-war features
Back units are quiet
Laundry in basement
Walking distance to The Met and Central Park
Monthly pest control service included
Cons:
No ramp in the lobby. It's difficult to get a stroller in and out of the building.
Water pressure is bad and it takes 10 minutes or more for the water to get hot on the sixth floor.
Basement feels dirty and not as well kept
The management company is super slow to respond and doesn't care if you've been a long term, incredible tenant. They would rather give incentives to someone new than keep a current tenant.

Avoid this building, exploit and do not care about their tenants
Former Tenant
Pros:
New appliances.
Good location.
Cons:
1) Non responsive management company
2) In May 2020 when the pandemic lock down was at its height, my wife was hospitalized with Covid and we requested Solil not to increase our rent and keep it flat because we were unable to look for apartments to move to. Despite the same units in the building now being rented for $500 cheaper, in their response all they said was “no, here’s the move out forms”. A complete lack of understanding and empathy for other humans during an emergency.
3) Was robbed at knife point in our lobby, by someone who had been repeatedly stealing packages over the last year. I alerted management and asked them to install a camera in the lobby to catch the perpetrator and, again, their email response was “This is not a problem management is obligated to address.”
Advice to owner:
Don’t raise rents on your apartments when it’s the middle of a pandemic and people are locked in their homes and fearful of leaving their homes to find an alternative solution.
