Bright and hot walk up
Former Tenant
Pros:
South facing apartment building with great sunlight during the day. In a 2 bedroom apartment, the living room is big. Laundry in the basement.
Cons:
Walkup, broken laundry machine (there's only 2 and 1 doesn't work a lot), slow response from the super. It get super hot in the winter since the heat is controlled by the building.
Advice to owner:
Have a better/easier way to contact building management. We never knew who to contact, especially when the super was not around

Good experience here
Former Tenant
Pros:
Very responsive landlord
Cons:
There was definitely a pest that was in my unit, however the landlord took care of it quickly!
Advice to owner:
Adding some minor upgrades to the kitchen/bathrooms would help!

Noise Level is Insane
Former Tenant
Pros:
The location is amazing. I love the Upper East Side and you can get to anywhere very easily from this building. There are also tons to do in the area. Right by Central Park, will definitely miss the neighborhood.
Cons:
Like I alluded to in the title, the noise is terrible. If you're a light sleeper, like me, it will be even worse for you. I regularly sleep with earplugs in. The floors are also terrible because all the hardwood is warped and barely attached to the actual floors so they squeak loudly in almost all parts of my unit. And the people above us clearly have the same issue because I can very clearly hear them walking around above me. I can also hear all next door neighbors' conversations (and marital arguments). At least one of the washer/dryers is always broken. And we pay extra for having washer/dryer in the building in our rent on top of having to pay to actually use it... for it to never work conveniently. We might as well go to a laundromat at this point. Also, the super is completely non-responsive. I called him on a Sunday morning in the middle of a very cold winter because my steamer wasn't working and he actually yelled at me because he thought I was lying. His words, "The whole building uses the same boiler. How come you're the only person calling to complain about this?" As if I wanted to call him about it in the first place. Never spoke to him since then.
Not even to mention that they raised the rent by nearly $300 for no improvements to the building.
Advice to owner:
You're too far away from the issues of your buildings. 333 East 84th St needs renovation. And more responsive staff. You raise rent by nearly $300 for zero improvements to an already crappy building.. honestly ridiculous.
