Former Tenant
Pros:
Good neighborhood and area
Cons:
-Told tenant not to kiss their boyfriend in the front of the building because it looks bad in the neighborhood -Called tenant nonstop at work screaming on the phone multiple time and making rude remarks. Ask them to stop doing that. Issue continue (all because there was water noises in the toilet) -Landlords set up multiple cameras inside and outside of building say it’s for the “fish tank” in case it break. Instead monitor tenants with security cameras day and night. -Have issue with tenants coming home in and out after midnight, said every-time someone enter the building, they get a notification and wake them up. -Allow contractor to enter building through window without notice, walked into roomate sleeping, moved all our stuff and left trash all over the floor, when confronted. They said it was not their problem, they need to fix the exterior of the home. -Told tenant to not have anything in the hallway such as shoes because of safety hazard for other tenants in the building while they have giant decoration and boxes in the hallway in many Occasions. -Day 40, still have not received our deposit back, unresponsive. -currently in court.
Advice to owner:
Treat your tenant with respect. They are not your children, if you like me to have a curfew in your building, let your tenant know before they move in.
Importantly stop spying on your tenant through security cameras. 5 out of 7 of your tenants told you they were uncomfortable being watch in a meeting and it continue to occur. You are violating people privacy.
