Nice units, not so nice managemeng
Former Tenant
Pros:
Units are great: spacious and great room distribution for s 2BD. Handy people are great also, very responsive
Cons:
It's impossible to even talk to someone when renewals are due, no negotiating at all. Doormen are lazy and they don't control the entrance of the building at all.
Advice to owner:
Be more human, treat people like that, not like machines

Run for the hills!
Former Tenant
Pros:
The location is excellent. This is a building that doesn’t seem to have a bug or rodent problem either, which is a pro.
Cons:
A&E is the worst management company I have ever worked with. The building is constantly under construction (extremely loud), and the building doesn’t let residents know when it will be so loud it is unsafe in their apartments. They dramatically hike rent and refuse to negotiate. They don’t answer the phone and will only respond to email - if you’re lucky. There are plenty of other buildings in this neighborhood with better ownership.
Advice to owner:
Stop being greedy, put work into your building, don’t illegally take advantage of renters.

Managment team are idiots but building is a nice place to live
Former Tenant
Pros:
Clean, quiet Super is responsive Worth it if you have good roommates and an open balcony
Cons:
Always under construction; halls are still not done after a year Balconies were shut during renovation for 6 months Sometimes water is off because they are testing- guess it’s good that this is being tested but happens often We couldn’t figure out where a fee was coming from on our bill and the management team had no idea so my roommate in finance had to figure it out
Advice to owner:
Finish construction projects in a timely manner Give flexible rent if you know balconies will be closed and not able to be used Do not fire good doormen - where did they all go? What happened to AJ?
