Big cheap and cheaply made units
Former Tenant
Pros:
Huge units for low cost In unit laundry Dishwasher Excellent live-in super Courtyard/garden out back Kind neighbors in building Management never raises rent more than $100 because they lost our lease two years in a row Lots of local coffee shops Great local food
Cons:
High utilities Ice maker on refrigerator never fixed for 5 years because part couldn’t be ordered Shower in secondary bathroom had pipes that were old and made a screeching/shaking noise weekly Pipes loud; can hear them and a knocking noise in the bathroom Can hear upstairs neighbors Terrible management Cheap finishes (ex. Door handles often loosen) There are many rehab facilities in the neighborhood so there are a lot of people suffering from addiction or using who hang out by the 116 6 stop or outside the building New roommates name never added to the lease because management was so unresponsive for 2.5 years
Advice to owner:
Fire everyone in the management office and start over. They’re unbelievably unorganized, unresponsive and incompetent.
