Decent apartment, bad management
Former Tenant
Pros:
- big apartment
- updated bathroom, fridge, and dishwasher
- nice doormen
- never had any bugs or pests
- decent price
Cons:
- the stove and AC unit are ancient. The AC/heater is so loud that you can’t watch TV with it on
- the layout of the apartment is odd, there is very little space for storage in the kitchen. Also the giant AC units take up a lot space.
- the management company is bad. They take FOREVER to respond, take FOREVER to fix major issues, and are pretty rude

Great location and convenient
Former Tenant
Pros:

Cons:
Garbage pile up in the front of the building (probably out of the building’s control)

Has a lot going for it but bad management
Former Tenant
Pros:
Convenient location close to all the major subways. Neighbors were quiet and respectful. I think the size and quality of the apartments was pretty nice for the price
Cons:
The amenities like the gym, common areas, washing machines are all on the top floor. Just beneath are the "penthouse apartments". It was incredibly obnoxious to have a gym on the floor above an apartment. I don't understand how it's even legal to rent an apartment with so much noise (and vibration) directly overhead. Of course I noticed this immediately after moving in (and I felt like an idiot for not thinking about it before signing) and immediately contacted management. They were incredibly hard to reach, never helped or acknowledged the problem. Then covid hit and I left the apartment until the end of the lease anyway. So it was never resolved and I suspect the next poor tenant to sign there will find out the exact same thing :( Beware!
Advice to owner:
Don't rent out apt PHC or move the gym! It was pure torture living there having your desk rattle as people upstairs run on the treadmill or drop weights.
