clean building but everything is electric
Former Tenant
Pros:
clean and close to the train
Cons:
The surrounding buildings use the driveway to party in so the noise is pretty loud. The windows are not too solid so noise does permeate.
Because the whole unit is electric including: heat, and water heating the average electric bill was $400.
I saw a mouse in the time that I lived there but there was an exterminator.

Great building with Sunny rooms
Former Tenant
Pros:
Central AC / Heat, large sunny windows, elevator, spacious rooms, in unit washer dryer, clean trash chute.
Cons:
Construction on three adjacent buildings. Some pests/ mice but problem was solved after a few requests

New Building, Cheaply Made
Former Tenant
Pros:
Nice layout of apartment, elevator pretty reliable, quiet building for the most part if you don’t face the street (somewhat depends on neighbors), appliances were new and worked well, rent stabilized
Cons:
Unresponsive management company:
I personally never received my security deposit back/never got the breakdown for why it wasn’t returned
I had mice for 4 months sent emails and called management office weekly and had to send pics of 7 mice I caught in traps for them to send an exterminator to fill and patch a hole behind the stove
Livability:
High energy bills to heat apartment in winter
Apartment was made cheaply, walls not painted well so really easy to scratch, cheapest flooring in the market so easy to crack if you have heavy furniture or do more than walk around softly, doors not aligned so many doors scrape the frames and leave damage
Advice to owner:
Respond to your tenants needs and know the law for nyc before you get sued out of your license

Mice and terrible neighbors
Former Tenant
Pros:
Garbage chutes on every floor, elevators, balconies
Cons:
Mice were not properly dealt with from the garden next door
Neighbors loud as hell
Advice to owner:
Get the guy in the red truck to move out he sucks

good but not great
Former Tenant
Pros:
new building, good water pressure, big elevator, garage + bike rack
Cons:
mice problem
super slacks off sometimes and nobody clears out trash
the whole building is not well maintained
no doorman so packages get stolen naturally

Bad noise and pest issues
Former Tenant
Pros:
Modern appliances
Built-in recessed lighting
Cons:
Rats 4 times, super's efforts to plug things seems ineffective, doesn't really feel like it stopped
Really loud street noise and bad soundproofing (no good/double paned windows, sealing on the doors, etc.)
Frequently clogged trash chute
Building front door does not close securely
Continuous package theft (at one point 4 in a row)

Ok building to live
Former Tenant
Pros:
Quiet building. elevator always working.
Cons:
When you have something that needs to be fixed in your apartment , they take forever to repair or they just forget about you in totality.
Modern but problematic
Former Tenant
Pros:
Very modern, updated appliances, garbage on each level and roof deck
Cons:
Noisy, bad neighborhood, loud all day, neighbors that smoke weed, drug dealers in the area, shootings
Advice to owner:
The guy in the red truck needs to be evicted he ruins the atmosphere here
