It is possible that a landlord missed an annual registration and therefore the info is not reflected on openigloo. We update this data when the city updates their records. Review Summary for 1050 Avenue Of The Americas
Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on openigloo.
Recent tenants praise the building at 1050 Avenue of the Americas for its excellent staff and unbeatable subway connectivity. The floor-to-ceiling windows provide well-insulated rooms with good quality fittings. Whilethe rent is considered high for the amenities offered, the resolved trash chute issue was a temporary setback. The modern building in Midtown boasts fantastic doormen and a central location. However, a tenant highlighted poor communication by the superintendent and the absence of overhead lighting as drawbacks. Overall, the building is recommended for its convenient location and friendly staff, despite some minor concerns.

Great building in a well-connected location
Former Tenant
Pros:
- Great and helpful building staff - everyone from the concierge to handymen are very friendly - Floor to ceiling windows in all rooms, well insulated and good quality - Good kitchen appliances and new fittings - Unbeatable subway connectivity
Cons:
- Rent is definitely quite high for the building amenities, size and views - The trash chute was non-operational for 2-3 months in fall 2023 (but is fixed now)

Good not great
Former Tenant
Pros:
Building has huge windows, 50% of the doormen are nice. Havent seen any bugs since I moved in
Cons:
Super is not good at communicating, kind of passive aggressive. No overhead lighting in the rooms, lots of homeless people outside
Advice to owner:
Lower the rent. It’s just not worth that much.
