Great building, poor management

Pros:
Apartment size, amenities and neighbourhood
Cons:
Management and the building Super do not respond to maintenance requests or other requests for support.
Advice to owner:
Hire a responsive Super that actually does their job or at least answer tenant emails when requests are made

Persistent Heating Issues

I am increasingly disappointed with the management of our building, especially regarding the handling of heating issues. Despite the severe cold weather, with temperatures dropping to as low as 26 degrees, our apartment has repeatedly been left without heating. This has happened three times in just the past two months, and each instance lasts several days.

Working from home under these conditions is challenging and uncomfortable. The management’s lack of urgency and serious attention to this matter is concerning. It’s essential for a residence to provide basic amenities like consistent heating, especially during the winter months. The repeated failure to address this issue indicates a disregard for tenant comfort and well-being. I hope this review serves as a call to action for the management to prioritize the essential needs of its residents.

Great building but quickly getting run down

Pros:
Great layouts. Apt feel much bigger than what they are. Building is very quiet.
Cons:
Didn’t use to be this way, but new residents are trashing the place. Walls are dirty, laundry room in chaotic with trash around. Very unfortunate considering this was an amazing building for the 1-2 first years after it opened.

Great apartment overall

Pros:
The unit itself is gorgeous. Newly renovated, updated appliances. Fully stocked gym in basement. Laundry room has 4 washers and 4 dryers each for free. Unit facing inward, so very minimal noise. Never hear our neighbors.
Cons:
2 of the washers in the laundry room have been out of order since July 2021. The in-unit washer dryer combo is not great for drying. The dry cycle is 4 hours and you can’t end it early. The landlord and super are not quick to respond. There is a fly issue in the basement that is under control, but the traps are very noticeable and unsightly.
Advice to owner:
Fix the washers. Have the super respond to texts.

Paper thin walls, really crappy stove, disappointing for new building

Pros:
The bathroom is nice, the only problem is that you can hear people pooping and peeing in the next apartment over because the walls are so thin. If you want to hear more people pooping and peeing because the bathroom door is made of takeout containers this is a great place to live.
Cons:
The walls in this building are paper thin, you can hear when your neighbor has a normal conversation. you can't turn your TV up past a whisper level without people in every room of the apartment hearing it.
Also the oven can't maintain a consistent temperature, and the stove can barely boil water.
Advice to owner:
You should have added some insulation to the walls between apartments, installed a better stove.

Super nice place

Everything is new
Large balcony
Short walk to shopping and transportation
Quiet both inside and out
The super is very responsive to requests
Cons:
The stove takes for ever to cook anything.
The laundry room looks as though it hasn’t been cleaned in months.
The humidity level in the apartment is so high it is ruining some decorative pieces.
The smell of pot coming through the ac vent is annoying, especially early in the morning.
Advice to owner:
Take a look at your HVAC, this humidity is off the charts in the unit.
