Empathetic but careless
Former Tenant
Pros:
Management company is extremely flexible especially during the pandemic. Apartments are very large and mostly updated appliances
Cons:
Pant job and floors are absolutely awful. Most of the wood on the cabinets in the kitchen and bathrooms are falling apart and full of roaches. Laundry room is not open 24/7 neither is the trash so if you work 9-5 you have to fight for 1 of 4 washers/dryers on the weekend along with every other person.

Walls are so thin everything around you can be heard and whoever lives above you sounds like they’re bowling all the time.

The bodega that shares storage with the building and is located on the corner has ants crawling through the shelves all over the food and it’s also in the apartments. I’ve had ants crawl on me in my sleep. I called management to report this and nothing happened.
Advice to owner:
Hire real contractors to renovate apartments and fix things that are broken before you allow a tenant to move in, including chipped cabinets and peeling wallpaper!

Fumigate the building for ants and tell the bodega to control it. They’re importing goods from DR that are bringing the ants.

Make trash & laundry 24/7.
