Not good if you want privacy
Former Tenant
Pros:
Is secure with all the cameras and a living in landlord in the first floor 24/7 looking at the cameras. Low rent since is a cooperative, the owners also live there.
Cons:
The owners are mainly advanced age and have their very own rules of the building and would take you out in 6months since the first lease is only for 6months. if they didn’t like you they take you our and won’t renew a lease. They always watching you all the time on camera. There’s no privacy. The amount of guest are limited, the landlord would really call you if you have a lot of visits during a period of days to see what’s going on ? No elevator, no laundry and no utilities included but heat. The owners and landlord can have pets and smoke and the people paying a renting can’t have even a company pet or they would not renew your lease.
Advice to owner:
Get ride of the living in landlord. She emotionally harassing people. It shouldn’t be okay to feel like your landlord spies on you, like she counts the visits and people inside peoples homes. That woman technically threatens people with living them without a home if there’s no compliance with her will. Just sad.
