Decent Apartment
Former Tenant
Pros:
Large windows with great lighting Island, All white Kitchen Pretty big for a Bronx apartment Monthly Exterminator The super is very responsive and usually fixes things within a day or two. Very friendly neighbors
Cons:
The heat! Its an old school system that causes the pipes to pound the walls daily. The pipes in the walls bang so hard and loud that the walls shake. And this happens daily, whether it be 2pm or 2am, so I hope you’re a heavy sleeper. Also the heat is regulated based on apartment temps on the first two floors. So your apartment can be freezing cold, just because an apartment on the first floor feels like 75 degrees.
The water! The water has to get turned on an run for over 10 minutes before the hot water kicks in. This applies to the sink and the tub.
Advice to owner:
Change your heating system.
