Horrible place to live
Former Tenant
Pros:
A place to live.
Cons:
Rats are everywhere in the basement and apartments too, I’ve lived here 25 years keeping it clean yet we have holes form under our sink where they all come in, it’s been “covered” twice yet it keeps opening, careless drug users all around the building, hallways always smell like weed, next door neighbor almost burned down his apartment 3 times maybe more, always arguing from other neighbors, trash and potato chips on the floor, illegal car parking in the basement. We’ve been accused of not paying rent for years which is false because we would have been evicted already and there is thousand of dollars on our rent every month that we do not owe, we always pay our rent and have receipts it’s ridiculous and the office’s fault as well as previous supers/landlords who are clumsy. Don’t move here unless you absolutely have to.
Advice to owner:
Don’t be a slumlord and belittle your tenants with your usual condescending tone. You don’t care as long as the rent is paid every first of the month I hope you are replaced soon.

You’re on your own
Former Tenant
Pros:
Great location near subway, Central Park, museum mile, and great restaurants.
Cons:
Landlord is never around. If you have a problem he will pretend he doesn’t speak English. Pest issues and owner does not hire exterminator.
