Unresponsive Owners and Mold
Former Tenant
Pros:
Great neighborhood and spacious 2 bedroom No issues with mail
Cons:
Lacking closet space Serious mold problem that they won’t fix No heat all winter for two years (tell us to just use electric heat) Water damage from above apartment that they don’t fix Wiring is so old that it is a potential fire hazard and it could spark at literally any moment. Major pests (rats, roaches, centipedes, and birds living in the walls) The super is not allowed to fix minor issues so not sure why they have him. They never responded to our emails or questions. We were only able to get anything “fixed” aka put a bandaid on it by going through the super. They also forged our signature on a lease amendment
Advice to owner:
Fix your shit. Don’t just buy property and not invest in it. Bandaids are not solutions, you will get the same complaint when you don’t actually fix the problem.
