Simple and Cozy in Pelham Gardens
Former Tenant
Pros:
This unit is a great little nook to call home. It has a decent amount of space for someone just starting out or someone looking for a cozy spot with a simple, straightforward layout. The owners are new but seem to be lovely, hardworking people. The previous owner was wonderful, kind and responsive, and always a joy to work with. The property grounds are well maintained. There’s a great sized yard with shared access for the tenant and homeowner. Pelham Gardens is a beautiful, quiet and friendly neighborhood. It’s a breath of fresh air in the Northeast Bronx, ideal for families and working professionals. The transportation here is convenient with access to major highways (the 95 is a short walk and drive), bus lines such as the Bx2), 31, 28, 38, 12, and the express bus to Midtown with the Bxm10. The 5 train is a 10 minute walk away to Gun Hill Road on the Dyre Avenue line, and the 2 line can be accessed by taking the 26 on Allerton Avenue to White Plains Road (10 minute ride door to door).
Cons:
The only con is the VERY occasional, summertime water bug. There’s 1/year (last summer 2 because of the hurricane). Depending on the person, that could be a non-negotiable or not much of a problem. Otherwise, the pest control has been great. No problems with typical NYC vermin.
Advice to owner:
None to give.
