rent too high for quality of living
Former Tenant
Pros:
its a relatively quiet area, the neighbors really stay to themselves and its in a good location, not too dangerous, but theres plenty stores and shops nearby, along with easy access to transportation.
Cons:
-PESTS! RODENTS! whatever you wanna call it! all over the building, especially on lower levels since the garbage shoot is right under it, and im assuming it wasn’t cleaned properly. exterminators are sent out ever few months but it does nothing! -landlords are money greedy and claim to not get rent EVERY month from multiple tenants, even though theres proof they recieved it -electrical issue with MY apartment, i was not warned about this prior to moving in and now every summer i cannot use any air conditioners or else my apartments power will turn off -occasional issue with leaking in one of the closets, guessing its from an apartment upstairs, completely ruined my clothing earlier this year -hard to find parking, but that’s expected living in nyc -supers are incredibly hard to reach for any issue, i still have about 2 unfinished projects in my apartment, and a few issues that they claim to fix but they return again everytime they “fix” it. - occasionally no hot water, it’s strange because i see it happen the most in the winter which is like such a terrible time for a freezing cold shower. theres been no cold water before, but that was only four, maybe five times - you can turn your own heat on and off, but after that you cannot control anything, thats a little strange.
