Great for what you pay, great for students
Former Tenant
Pros:
Super nice housing for students. Rent controlled 1 bed or 3 bed. Walk up. Sometimes hot water is off. Occasional roach or 2, but nothing crazy so far.
Cons:
If you don’t want to be bothered by students, don’t move a block away from a college. Lots of people complain about this, and I’m not sure what they’re expecting. Very thin floors, so I can hear absolutely everything my neighbors do.
Advice to owner:
Advise people when they move in that students live in the building. People who leave passive aggressive notes in lobby act surprised that the building is mostly college students.

Not the best or worst
Former Tenant
Pros:
Location, safety, and great maintenance man.
Cons:
My mail has been stolen more than once. He does not plow any parking spot you rent from him.

I’ve never seen the super and I’ve knocked on this door more than once...
Advice to owner:
Package lockers! Please install these under the stairs. People are theives. And get Lou a snow plow!

No heat every two weeks!
Former Tenant
Pros:
- Average clean and quiet building .
-The neighborhood is safe and the neighbors keep to themselves.
- Reliable super
Cons:
-There is no heat every two weeks during the winter and when the heat is not needed they turn it up. The pipes are always “breaking so often”.

- The apartment walls are very thin, so you can expect to hear footsteps/ movements from your neighbors.

-The laundry room has washers and dryers that are so old and they only take coin! They don’t wash or dry properly, so it’s just stealing your money.
Advice to owner:
Please consider updating the washers and dryers and give more heat!

Like mold and health problems?
Former Tenant
Pros:
There are no pros read cons
Cons:
If you like mold and health problems this is the place for you! Don’t rent anything on the block the same guy owns everything. And definitely don’t listen to the realtor or the one in the office they are all there for your $$$ no matter what. And your security forget about it they will never give it back.

Safe starter apartment
Former Tenant
Pros:
Great convenient central Riverdale Location , safe enough , great neighbors / community to live in.
Cons:
Hallway & laundry room needs cleaning regularly. Walls are thin but most neighbors are respectful.
Advice to owner:
Should try and keep college kids out- or at least on one side of the building.. but this batch has been better than the last years batch) a few college apartments seem to change out each year)
