Going downhill quickly since late 2021
Former Tenant
Pros:
Building was well built. The door staff are kind and accommodating.
Cons:
The people are entitled, rude, and mostly sadists. Many unit owners are living their under their elderly parents dime. The board is being run by a corrupt bully who uses her spineless husband’s Rolf J Ryham to do her bidding. Work is being done improperly with no notice, ie stripping all hallway floors for 6 weeks and barely prodding along. Changing the carpets to marble even though it is slippery and dangerous. There is no transparency from Rolf Ryham, Kenneth Kagle, or Diedre LaPorte on building finances, or meetings. The management company appears to be funneling money into their pockets (and will not provide voting records or financial disclosures) to keep the current board in place.
Advice to owner:
Get a new management company that doesn’t have numerous successful litigations against them. Elect a board that isn’t corrupt and treating unit owners as piggy banks.
