Avoid at all costs
Former Tenant
Pros:
Great location and the rooftop is nice
Cons:
Management takes forever to respond, and when they do, it's only to ask something from you. Our dishwasher was broken for over a year, despite multiple attempts to fix, only to discover it never had a water line to begin with and they refused to install one (or lower our rent as a response). Our window shattered in the middle of February and it took weeks to fix. Avoid them at all costs!!!!!!!
Advice to owner:
Respond to your tenants and actually be decent humans

Decent but not a great value
Former Tenant
Pros:
Exposed brick walls, modern appliances, nice rooftop, laundry on each floor. Standalone AC/heating units are a nice touch. Great location near Jay St-Metrotech subway.
Cons:
It's on an extremely loud and busy street, and next door to a very loud community center that plays music til 3AM+ every few weeks. Management is not super responsive for repairs,
Advice to owner:
Be more responsive.

Great and Bad due to location
Former Tenant
Pros:
Location is amazing. Light through windows is good. Management responsive, but not super fast at responding. Super is also eventually going to fix things.
Although I've seen bugs outside and in the basement, I haven't seen them inside the apartment unit.
Cons:
Street noise is loud. Sometimes there are folks from street who gain access to the building. (Lack of) Package delivery has been a problem.
Heat not included (except high bills year round for electricity).
During heavy storms, there are leaks everywhere and basement floods.
Roof smells like fried chicken during the summer due to chicken restaurants below units.
Advice to owner:
Investigate the roof leaks!

No major complaints
Former Tenant
Pros:
Building kept clean. Shared laundry on each floor, repairs made quickly when needed.
Cons:
No package room/area. In unit repairs took several visits - seemed like cheap work. Balcony door repair was never completed after 6+ months of requests
Advice to owner:
Streamline service requests

Pretty good first NY apt.
Former Tenant
Pros:
Dog friendly. Nice deep kitchen sink. Nice rooftop that smells like fried chicken. Good gym.
Cons:
Sometimes you can hear the train at night. The sliding laundry doors suck on all floors. The kitchen and bathroom do not have ventilation. The basement floods.
Advice to owner:
Fix the laundry doors.

High ceilings, location
Cons:
Lease misrepresented amenities, constant break ins and stolen packages and owners do not care at all, air units horrible, lazy super, dirty floors, too expensive for all the issues.

Renters Beware
Former Tenant
Pros:
Building amenities and residents are great.
Cons:
I don’t say this lightly... building Management might be the WORST I have ever experienced in my life.
0 responsiveness. 0 accountability & always lying about real issues
This building had an problem with break-ins on a weekly basis. Tons of packages stolen because of a faulty front door locking system. The owners response? “It’s just part of living in the neighborhood.”
The security cameras dont even have sight on the front door so if your package gets stolen, they can’t & wont help you.
Advice to owner:
Dont be so negligent. Respond to tenants emails. Fix issues when requested and take accountability! For the love of gxd
