Pros:
Perfect location, decent size main bedroom, living spaces and kitchens, neighboring businesses all very friendly.
Cons:
A list:
-top floor apt built illegally (look up the fines)
-no ladder off the fire escape on top floor, super unsafe and illegal, apt was rented out this way (a way to check if it’s been fixed—order yourself some food from the good folks at Fast & Fresh, sit on the back patio, and look up)
-top floor apt was rented out without working fire & CO alarms
-gas leak detected in the basement went untreated by mgmt
-emails and phone calls from Rosario (female manager) not returned, then she’ll gaslight you (no pun intended)
Advice to owner:
You can’t rent out an apartment that is that unsafe. Period.
