Good neighbors, great neighborhood, unresponsive management
Former Tenant
Pros:
Cheap rent for the area, great location, decent appliances in unit
Cons:
Small apartments, takes too long for anything to get fixed, lots of patchwork in the apartments that has to be redone regularly
Advice to owner:
Add laundry to the building, fix the plumbing issues

Overpriced for what you get
Former Tenant
Pros:
-Location was really convenient for subway access - neighbors were kind
Cons:
-There is no elevator and there are 4 flights of stairs -pest control was poor -floor layout was poor and move in was a mess because management and the super had miscommunications -randomly update things without notifying tenants (created an issue for package deliveries) -was not exactly impressed with interactions with the super, felt like he pushed expensive alternatives to fixing issues which didn’t sit with me right -floors were warped and got worse with issues regarding heating -fixing the heating issue was a long annoying issue - when first moving in, setting up utilities was awful because it worked around the supers schedule so it was extremely annoying trying to find a way that the National Grid member would access the cellar because the super would only be there for his set schedule and there was no way to schedule a specific time with NG - rent increased to something that makes no sense in my head considering the building just isn’t that great.

Decent if the rent was cheaper.
Former Tenant
Pros:
A very quiet street with good access to subways.
Cons:
The heat system was faulty. The radiator would leak and make very large sounds. Management is very slow to answer emails and solve issues. Had several instances of mice and it took very long for it to be taken seriously. Very expensive.

Good first apartment
Former Tenant
Pros:
The super was really attentive and sweet. The apartments have good amenities like in unit laundry. The location on state street is soooo nice. Will miss that the most. Very quiet street and chill neighbors.
Cons:
The bathroom was in poor condition in move in, with no promises to fix it up. Tiles were falling off and water to could seep through the cracks... kinda gross lol.
Advice to owner:
Maintain the bathroom finishes better.

good place to live but managers are the worst
Former Tenant
Pros:
water pressure, heat, electricity were all great. super is very responsive and will do everything he can to fix problems as soon as possible
Cons:
we had a mouse problem the building did absolutely nothing about; the exterminators they hired only gave us glue traps and left it up to us to figure it out.

Horrible property management
Former Tenant
Pros:
Location is prime and beautiful. Would have stayed if management didn’t suck.
Cons:
Kushner owned property, and it shows. No attention to detail, no care to fix issues. I was without heat for almost a month and a neighbor was without an oven for two months and we got no compensation.
Advice to owner:
Fix tenant issues faster
