Good building for the price if you can tolerate being treated like a child
Former Tenant
Pros:
-Amazingly convenient location
-beautiful historical detailing
-reasonable rent and increases
Cons:
Condescending owner treats you like they're doing you a favor by letting you live there. Expect bizarre notes to be slid under your door referencing vague incidents you know nothing about. Expect to be gaslit when you say the heat isn't working (it's because you didn't take out your AC that it's 50 degrees inside!), or when you're told it's not possible that your kitchen appliance isn't working so you must not have plugged it in. They go through your trash and don't feel the slightest bit weird commenting to you on what they find. No bikes! Can't get your keys copied! Better hope you don't have any irresponsible neighbors who get locked out and ring the doorbell all night long! Despite the solid pre-war construction, there are some vents that must have been built when splitting it into studios that causes it to sound like the noise from one of your neighbor's apartments is being directly piped into yours.
