Overall good experience living here
Former Tenant
Pros:
I loved my apartment here and overall had a good experience. Location is perfect and building has laundry in unit, elevator, and well maintained. My heater/AC would consistently stop working but management was pretty responsive and helpful with it. Management is very pleasant and easy to work with. Virtual doorman was great for when I locked myself out.
Cons:
Roach problem!!!! I would see the occasional one in my apartment but the basement was pretty bad.

Not worth the $$$
Former Tenant
Pros:
Location is great
Cons:
Building is poorly maintained. The basement smells moist and musty and you regularly find 2” water bug roaches roaming around. I even found some in my apartment. I’ve heard that the roof leaks into the top floor apartments. The scaffolding that was supposed to be there for facade work remained for the entire time I lived there because the landlord was too cheap to actually do the work. Victor the super is a nice guy and very helpful but the majority of the issues in the building are out of his control.
Advice to owner:
Maintain the building if you want to charge Brooklyn Heights prices.

They just don’t care much
Former Tenant
Pros:
Location is great, washer dryer, dishwasher
Cons:
It’s hard to get any repairs done right in the building - they will come by 5 different times to try to fix problems but do it poorly every time until you force them to finally bring in a technician or replace whatever is broken. They also never show up during the “scheduled” times. They are currently trying to raise rents by over 40-50 percent after the pandemic, so management doesn’t care about keeping good tenants. The entry buzzer system is glitchy and utilities are extremely high because of outdated appliances that use tons of energy and specialty lights that they charge you to replace.
Advice to owner:
Be better. Care about your tenants and actually fix things promptly.

Great building, some quirks
Former Tenant
Pros:
Excellent location Quiet and no fuss building Washer/dryer! Lots of light on higher floors Friendly staff
Cons:
Noise from street Very high electricity bill Hot water/boiler doesn’t last very long
Advice to owner:
Please find a way to reduce electricity bill! Everything else is great.
