Run far away from this shit hole
Former Tenant
Pros:
Nothing, just nothing.
Cons:
Where to begin?
The floor slopes so badly in the kitchen that I’m worried it’s going to cave in. Broker said “I’d get used to it” and dismissed my concern. I told the landlord that it smelled like gas in my apartment so after pestering them they finally sent the “super” over. Pretty sure all he does is the trash and sell bikes out of the basement of the building. He said it was fine. I tried the oven again and it smelled like gas so I called 911 and they turned off the gas sent out National Grid who confirmed a gas leak from the oven and turned off the gas. I’ve called, emailed and heard absolutely nothing from the landlord. At this point, I have no way to cook and possibly a kitchen about to collapse. I hate it here.

Update: 311 came out while the super was outside fixing bikes like he does all day every day. I showed the inspector the paper work describing the gas leak. When I left later, the super stopped me and said that the inspector told him everything was fine and there was no leak - an obvious lie. I said, “No, the gas company and fire department said there was a leak.” To which he just shrugged and said ok. DO NOT TRUST THE SUPER OF THIS BUILDING. HE WILL LIE TO YOU.
Advice to owner:
FIX THE GAS LEAK. RESPOND TO YOUR TENANTS.
