Bed bugs, mice, roaches, landlord is the worst
Former Tenant
Pros:
area is great, very nice neighbors but no one stays cause it’s a dump
Cons:
infested with mice, bed bugs, roaches. the owner is hostile or pretends to not know the building is falling apart. One tenant even mentioned the landlord entered his apartment without his consent. Landlord created an unsafe living condition. operates an illegal business out of the basement.
Advice to owner:
don’t yell at your tenants when they’re reporting an issue.

Rent Stabilized, but not worth it
Former Tenant
Pros:
- It's a great location - Cheap rent - great respectful neighbors
Cons:
- Unresponsive and rude landlord - consistent bed bug problems (which we only found out about because the renters called a meeting to talk about the bed bug problem that was not being addressed by landlord) - Dirty hallways - Sloppy fixes by maintenance
Advice to owner:
It would behoove you to take time to care for your building instead of treating it only as a source of income.
