Horrible landlord
Former Tenant
Pros:
Spacious, convenient location/close to all the trains, lots to do around the neighborhood
Cons:
Landlord let herself in all the time (and her mom) without a heads up (and responded to this with “it’s my apartment”), she gave the restaurant owner downstairs a set of our keys without our knowledge (restaurant owner was SO nice and equally as shocked to see us in the apartment), didn’t fix hot water or stove for THREE months, was incredibly abrasive, just straight up rude and unprofessional. She refused to update our expired lease for over a year, and then gave us a 10-day heads up we had to leave or pay $1K more in rent. Wow...
Street is really noisy, not a true 2BR.
Advice to owner:
Hire a property manager because you clearly aren’t capable of dealing with other people.

Unsympathetic Landlord
Former Tenant
Pros:
Cheap apartment specially for the location. Good amount of space and closets.
Cons:
The landlord was very inconsiderate, we had mice and she took around a month to call the exterminator, so we had to live 1 month with the mice.
When we left the apartment she didn’t want to tell us the name of the paint so we couldn’t repair the walls and she could keep some of the deposit.
Another con of the apartment is that the ventilation in the kitchen is really bad. Wouldn’t consider it for sharing with a roommate. It’s a big 1 br apartment, not a 2 br.
Advice to owner:
Try to be sympathetic with good tenants that where only asking for what was fair.
