Bad management out weighs positives
Former Tenant
Pros:
The building is near restaurants, shops and on a pretty brownstones lined block. There is a large foyer that has generous stroller and bike parking. The super on site does a good job of managing garbage. Layout of apartments make good use of space.
Cons:
Management will not fix appliances or make repairs. Cuts corners and saves where they can to the detriment of renters and building. The on site laundry is frequently broken. Heat is inconsistent. Thin walls that allow you to hear neighbors conversations. Reoccurring issues with mold, roaches and rodents. Packages are frequently stolen. While moving out several residents divulged that the long term tenants frequently commiserate that they want to move but have to stay because they cannot afford to.
Advice to owner:
Make necessary repairs. Hire a management company instead of using family. At the very least, find someone to replace handyman J.

Perfect
Former Tenant
Pros:
Close to both Prospect Park and great restaurants on 5th avenue. Great management team and neighbors!
Cons:
Street noise from the nearby TD bank can be a bit of bummer but not bad like midtown levels.

Convenient location, great school
Former Tenant
Pros:
Being near 5th Ave brings lots of bars, restaurants and banking. Up the street from PS321, an excellent school.
Cons:
Did not like the location of the laundry room. requires going outside briefly. A bit pricey.
Advice to owner:

Find another building
Former Tenant
Pros:
Great central location
Cons:
Common areas rarely cleaned, mice issue, roach infestation, and lack of management responsiveness.

Management will tell you they are sending someone to make repairs and they never show. This occurred during the entire period of my tenancy and I moved out with multiple unresolved issues.

This building is old and dirty. The building knows of the roach infestation and fails to properly resolve the problem.
Advice to owner:
Care a little.
